The Shinning.

Hey guys I am back to review 'The Shining' by Stephen king.
In the introduction King says "That truth is that monsters are real, and ghosts are real, too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win." This quote sums up the whole book.

This book is divided in 5 parts and has 58 chapters and is of 497 pages. This book can take 3-4 days and if you read at night it might scare you like it did to me. I ended up having nightmares. So yeah this book is that good.

What I like about this book:
The way it is written.
The story is not like any horror movie. Where you find cheap ghost and lame story but this book has such a strong base. Stephen king made every character so unique. He focused on every character place and time.
This book can give you chills

so let's talk about the main characters:
Jack Torrance
Danny torrance s/o jack
Wendy Torrance w/o jack
Mr. Hallorann chef of The overlook.
These are the characters who had my focus

This story is all about 'The Shining' and who has it and what it does to the person and 'The Overlook' which is a hotel. This is a story of Torrance family who moved to 'The Overlook'. Jack was the caretaker of the hotel during the closing time which is in winter when no one is in the hotel but Torrance family. Where you hear sounds, where you see things, where you feel you are not alone and you can run cause it is snowing and there are some hedge animals who look very much alive.

I want to say so much but don't want to spoil it for the reader's so let's just hope this review helps you to get enthusiastic and pick this book up right now.

I give this book a 5⭐ cause it is "obviously a masterpiece, probably the best supernatural novel in a hundred year's" as said by Peter straub.
